Coming to your centre
Interested in cultivating a love of nature and plants with your pre-school children?
Then book a Seeds, Sticks and Bugs presentation and a horticulturalist (and assistant) will visit your center for an engaging, hands-on and interactive session.
This presentation looks at the art and science of plants through play-based learning activities designed for pre-school students aged 4-5 years.
Children will explore their natural world including soil, seeds, plants and bugs in a way that will amaze, entertain and excite developing imaginations.
Children will discover what plants do and the roll that they play in our everyday life – food, clothes, water and air – and the many cycles of life.
We’ll show that wildlife and the natural world are not just the stuff of holidays, books and TV documentaries – there’s lots to see, do and learn in your backyard, park or playground.
We will also provide continued learning activities, as well as simple and fun take-home activities.
